I was going through the various sites for christmas cake recipes, amongst all of them I liked the following recipe very much.
http://decoratingandcookingforchrist...te-cake-recipe As christmas is coming now, I thought of sharing it with you all. I even liked the Fruit cake recipe given on the same site, which I make every year. http://decoratingandcookingforchrist...ent/fruit-cake ![]() |

The fruit cake recipe you use very similar too mine except mine only has dark brown sugar and also has black treacle all the dried fruit is soaked in whisky or brandy the night before making with a bit more whisky or brandy added when mixing. I make my cakes in October then feed every couple of weeks with more brandy or whisky. My husband always says don't eat and drive at christmas
