Default Roof leak help?

Hi friends here, I am a housewife and I used to do all the works at home by myself. I have a small cake shop. Recently I got slip down and my legs got fractured. I am getting well, but the problem is, our shop roof started leaking. I have tried to repair it with the help of my neighbor but it was vague. My friend suggested me to get it done by one of the professional roofing services. Has anybody here experienced such a situation? I would like to get some DIY tips as I may not be able to get it done by myself.
