Default Wedding Cake Advice

Hi there

Im looking for some advice on Wedding cake sizes. I know nothing about baking or the process of creating a wedding cake. I have someone in mind to create the cake but i want to provide them with all the information up front so i know exactly what im getting.

I have purchased wedding toppers of a bride reaching up from the 2nd tier to the top tier where there's a groom kneeling down to help her up.
The bride is 5 1/2 inches tall and the groom is 3 1/2 inches tall.

I want the cake to be three tiers and what I'm trying to work out is the best sizes of each tier. As the bride is 5 1/2 inches tall I need the top tier to be around 6 inches tall so that her hand is just below the top of the top tier. I also need the 2nd tier to be around 1 1/2 to 2 inches wider all around than the top tier to make sure there's space for the bride figure to have something to stand on.

As I know nothing about wedding cakes i'm looking for advice on what the size of each tier should be to accommodate all of the above and have the tiers in the right ratios (width and height) so that it all looks correct and in proportion. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Simon
